About Us
Andrew Morrow, MD, is a psychiatrist serving patients at OC-Psychiatrist, Inc. in Mission Viejo, California.
Dr. Morrow was born and raised in Orange County, California. In 1996, he relocated with his family to St. Louis, Missouri, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in chemistry at St. Louis University and graduated summa cum laude. He then attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Morrow returned home to Orange County. He completed his residency training and served as chief resident at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. There, he gained extensive training in general adult psychiatry, including pharmacological therapy, psychotherapy, child adolescent, geriatric, consult-liaison, and forensic subspecialties. He has experience providing care in nursing homes, long-term care settings, detox centers, and county facilities.
Dr. Morrow chose psychiatry as his specialty because he had always been fascinated by human behavior. Every person is unique in their experiences, upbringing, relationships, and personality. As a psychiatrist, he is in a special position to be able to integrate psychological and social characteristics with biological therapy to treat the whole person, including mind, body, and soul.
At OC-Psychiatrist, Inc., Dr. Morrow provides treatments for a variety of conditions, including OCD, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Rather than the traditional doctor-patient relationship, Dr. Morrow sees his relationships as a therapeutic alliance and collaborative effort. He educates his patients on their diagnosis, presents all the treatment options available, addresses any concerns, and works with them to determine the best treatment.
Overall, Dr. Morrow hopes to empower patients to take charge of their own health, both mental and physical, and achieve their full potential. To schedule an appointment at OC-Psychiatrist, Inc., call the office or book a consultation online today.
